About the event
For the first time since the start of the pandemic, we're marching!
Folkestone Pride will be holding a parade to mark the start of our Pride celebrations and honour the tradition of remembering the Stonewall uprising.
You are welcome to line the high street and cheer us on, but if you want to join the parade itself please pre-register here and we'll see you there!
We welcome everyone to march, whether you are an individual, with friends or families!
People of all ages can join the Parade. Children under five do not need to register. All attendees under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+).
Please note that this is a community pride so although we welcome individuals from larger organisations, the only 'official' groups we welcome are community groups and charities.
On the day:
We will be meeting outside the Town Hall from 1pm on Saturday 29th July and at 1.30pm, we will then march up Sandgate Road, south down West Terrace, meet the Leas and finish at the bandstand.
Bandstand performances will start at 2pm and run all the way through until 6pm.
Food and drink vendors as well as craft stalls and workshops all to be announced. Drag story time will be held at various points during the afternoon - timings to be confirmed.
After party will be held at the Leas Cliff Hall - doors at 7pm, performances from 8pm. -Â
The after party will require a separate ticket - book now. Full line-up to be announced soon!`
