Pitch Location

All pitches are located near and around the bandstand area

• We are unable to guarantee specific pitch locations.

• While we endeavour to accommodate requests for particular locations, these cannot be guaranteed.

• Confirmed traders will be contacted approximately one week prior to the event to confirm their allocated pitch location.

Site Access

• Your specified site access time will be confirmed one week before the event.

• It is important that you arrive at the confirmed time only to ensure smooth setup and coordination.

• The road adjacent to the bandstand will be closed to general traffic.

• Pitch holders are permitted to park their vehicles along this road.

• Strictly one vehicle per trader is allowed.

• Vehicles must not be parked behind or alongside your stall unless this has been pre-arranged with HQ.

• Folkestone Pride is not responsible for any vehicles or their contents.

• Strictly no glass is permitted for items given to customers.

• No single-use plastic may be used or sold.

• You must trade only within the intentions outlined in your application.

• Traders must provide their own gazebos or marquees; Folkestone Pride does not supply them.

• Ensure your gazebo or marquee fits within your allocated pitch size.

• All structures must be secured correctly to ensure safety for both staff and visitors.

• Folkestone Pride does not provide electricity, water, or gas services, nor is there anywhere on site to hook up these supplies.

• Traders who require these services and have indicated this in their application must hold all relevant insurance, licenses, and certifications.

• If using a generator, this must be agreed in advance with Folkestone Pride, and sustainable fuels should be used wherever possible.

Traders are expected to minimise unnecessary waste and leave their pitch clean and tidy, as it was provided to them. While a dedicated cleaning team will be on site throughout the weekend, we ask that you use the bins provided and encourage visitors to do the same.

• Food stall holders must display allergy information clearly for all products sold.

• All food vendors must adhere to proper food hygiene practices at all times.

• Traders are expected to provide a copy of their food hygiene certification when submitting their application.

• In the event of an emergency, follow instructions from Folkestone Pride staff and stewards immediately.

• If you discover an emergency, alert HQ or the nearest steward straight away.

• First aid points will be clearly marked on site; all incidents requiring medical attention should be reported there.

• For fire safety, ensure you are familiar with the nearest fire exits and assembly points.

• Any hazardous situations or accidents must be reported to HQ immediately.

• Keep a clear space around your stall to allow easy access for emergency services if needed.

Trader pitches are charged at a set fee. Fees are subject to pitch size and individual business requirements and are confirmed upon application.

Pitch fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Full details will be provided during the application process. Pitch fees contribute toward event costs such as site management, stewarding, infrastructure, and event safety.

We offer concessionary discounts for local charities. Details and eligibility will be assessed as part of the application process.
