About the event
Folkestone Pride teams up with Kent Autistic Trust to bring an engaging and informative session exploring neurodivergence. This event offers an introduction to key concepts, including the difference between neurodiverse and neurodivergent, the sensory world, and conditions such as autism, ADHD, and AuDHD. It will also touch on co-occurring conditions, while addressing common myths and misunderstandings.
The session is designed to be interactive, giving attendees a supportive space to share experiences, ask questions, and deepen their understanding.
Led by Emilymay from Kent Autistic Trust, the session draws on over 30 years of lived and professional experience within the Autistic community. Emilymay brings insight from her own AuDHD experience, as well as supporting her AuDHD children. Alongside this, she has extensive professional training, experience facilitating learning, and a strong background in organising training sessions and peer support groups for Autistic individuals and their support networks.
