Folkestone Pride has teamed up with Silver Screen Cinema for a very special screening of the much-loved film Kinky Boots (12A) [2005]
This uplifting true story of courage, community and self-expression will be introduced by Sue Sheppard, owner of local LGBTQ+ business Lacies. Ahead of the film, Sue will share her personal story and reflect on how her own journey helped spark the real-life events that inspired Kinky Boots.
From small-town challenges to standing proudly in your identity, Kinky Boots remains a powerful celebration of individuality, allyship and finding strength in being unapologetically yourself.
Sue’s introduction offers a unique and local perspective on the film’s origins, making this Pride screening truly one of a kind.
