About the event
Folkestone meets Dover: a walk over the clifftops. Starting at both ends and meeting in the middle for a picnic.
A walk over the cliff tops between Folkestone and Dover – and vice versa.Â
One group will meet at the horn sculpture on Wear Bay Road, Folkestone next to the Pavilion café (car park nearby at CT19 6BJ), the other by the Booking Hall on Elizabeth Street, Dover (car parks at CT17 9AT and CT16 1JW).Â
We will walk towards each other and sit down for a picnic when we meet. Then people can choose to turn round and head back or carry on (and get public transport home).Â
This walk will be led by Folkestone Pride.Â
Around 6.5 miles, some steep parts.Â
This is a free event but donations, which will help fund our all-year-round activities, would be most appreciated.
Wear suitable footwear, bring waterproofs and/or sunscreen, water and a picnic.Â
All LGBTQIA+ and allies are welcome. Dogs too!
